General Features of CleanKill®Insecticides
Safe to Humans & Pets
Due to its unique formulation and the very low dosage of active ingredients combined with cosmetic type of emulsifiers and water, Cleankill®is extremely safe to humans, warm-blooded pets and other warm-blooded animals. You don’t have to leave the treated areas after spraying.
Odourless
Clean®does not produce unpleasant odor as other insecticides do and can therefore be applied even in the presence of humans and warm-blooded pets.
Preventive Concept
Cleankilll®Insecticides are extremely safe and effective in preventing pest problems and resolving pest problems after infestation has occurred. Usually Cleankill®is not being used against individual insects but much more as a surface spray (direct spraying is still possible but the real strength lays in surface spraying).
Biodegradable & Environmentally Friendly
Non-aerosol bottling design causes no harm to the environment. The essence itself is complete biodegradable substances. All Cleankill®products are virtually free of VOC’s and the spray bottle is made of recyclable PET and re-usable.
Non-flammable
Cleankilll®Insecticide contains no solvent propellant as other aerosol insecticide formulas do. Unlike aerosol sprays,
Cleankilll®Insecticide does not add any burden to room air.
SWISS Formula
Cleankill®Brand is owned by Jesmond Holding AG, Switzerland having its headquarters and research and development operations in and around Vienna, Austria.
Toxicity: LD50 Test and MSDS
The toxicity of a substance is rated with the LD 50 test or lethal dose. LD 50 means the amount of the substance in milligrams per kilogram of body weight required to kill 50% of a group of test animals. The lower the number of LD50 means the less of that substance is required to kill an animal and vice versa. Therefore, the higher value of LD50 means more safety. This data for insecticide is usually gathered using rodents* and is based on mg/kg body weight. These tests are administered by oral, dermal or inhalation applications, therefore producing three sets of results.
The values are then added to the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet), which will be available from us upon request. The MSDS provides all necessary data with regards to environment performance, toxicity, other hazard, transport restrictions etc. and is the most important information that must be publicly available for all chemical products.
According to the LD50 test results, Cleankilll®Insecticides is an extremely safe range of products. For instance the LD50 value of Cleankilll®Insecticides is higher than that of two of the common household substances, table salt and aspirin.
*Note : Please note that testing for LD50 is compulsory for ALL insecticides. Test animals must be rats. We do not support experimenting with any animal but are compelled by law to follow these procedures.
Mode of Action
The emulsion kills insects by attacking the nerve membranes. Due to this mode of action, it will take anywhere between 5-15 minutes for the insects to die, depending on species, temperature etc.
Death of insects however is the sure fate in spite of its (sometimes) slightly slower action as compared to traditional more toxic aerosol products. The typical process is a flush out effect first (they are coming out of their hiding places) then the knock down effect (this is when insects make uncontrolled movements) followed by their death.
